Apprenticeships
An apprenticeship is an excellent choice if you want to gain a qualification and work. There are now apprenticeships on offer in Engineering, Construction, Health & Beauty, Media & Printing and many more.
An Advanced Apprenticeship lasts at least 2 years and leads to a Level 3 NVQ qualification. This will equip you to go onto a higher education course such as an NVQ Level 4, a Foundation Degree, an HND or even a Degree course.

- As an ‘advanced’ apprentice, you are studying part-time so it will take longer to gain qualifications
- You will need to be self-motivated
- Your employer may contribute towards the cost of your Higher Education study
