There is no denying that good A Level passes, alongside a good application, are traditionally the best qualifications to get you into university [Higher Education]. The International Baccalaureate is also a well-recognised European qualification.

However, the world is changing and many universities are now recognising the value of BTEC Diplomas, VCEs and other vocational qualifications as alternative entry qualifications. The new Diploma at Level 3 will also be recognised as an entry qualification for Higher Education.

Advanced Apprenticeships and NVQ Level 3 can also prepare you for a Higher Education course.

If you are over 19, then an Access Course will get you into Higher Education.
